There once was a little boy who moved with his family from Kenya to Canada and went to a First Nations school on a reservation. When he was 3, his mother read him a story about a boy befriending a Kalahari bushman. When he was 4, his brother, who is nine years older, explained the Cold War and the human cell to him, and when he was 9 or 10, he read Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee.
