In the western hemisphere, migrants from Central America risk everything to cross over into the United States. On the other side of the Atlantic, those fleeing from war and famine in the Middle East and Africa risk it all for a new life in Europe. On Oct. 28, it was reported that dozens of migrants were suspected to have died of thirst in the Sahara desert, but that's just the latest in a string of such tragedies.
