Music From On High
About 200 light years from Earth is a star system we call EX Hydrae. Imagine taking the audio translation of the X-rays that these stars emit and translating it, in turn, into blues, jazz, and classical music. From the astrophysics student with diabetes to the researcher musician and his cousin, the story of how the album X-Ray Hydra came to be is just as interesting as the technologies that were used to make it (story, audio): http://blogs.smithsonianmag.com/artscience/2013/05/how-to-convert-x-rays-from-a-distant-star-into-blues-jazz-and-classical-music/
