The Marshes of Mesopotamia, in southern Iraq, are thought by many to be the biblical Garden of Eden. In the 1990s, they were drained to 10 percent of their size by the Saddam Hussein regime, but they are coming back now ~ as are the Marsh Arabs who called this place home.
