Remember "Oregon Trail"? Of course you do! How about "SimCity"? "Donkey Kong"? "Carmen SanDiego"? "Zelda"? Probably the last thing you need is yet another time suck, but here it is anyway. The Internet Archive has put all of these old faves and many more online. (I just tried out "Oregon Trail" ~ just to make sure I'm not pointing you in the wrong direction, mind you ~ and can attest to the fact that it works and is just as much fun as you remember it being.)
