This is amazing! Scientists at Cambridge University worked with actual pets whose injuries had left them paralyzed. They transplanted cells from the dogs' nose to the site of their injury, and the dogs showed great improvement and were able to walk with the support of a harness (story and video): http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-20365355
