No Peace in the Valley

Jordan Valley and Lake Tiberias                                       Wikipedia/אלה פאוסט
Israel captured the Jordan Valley during the 1967 Six-Day War and now controls most of it. Still, between the growing number of Jewish settlements, some Palestinian farmers are continuing to work the land they once called theirs.
This area is one of the sticking points of the secretive peace talks that restarted in August. Its fertility makes it an economically crucial component of any Palestinian state, and its location makes it important for Israel's security. All who live there are feeling the stress of its significance (story, video): http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-24802623
