There seems to be a link ~ a pretty strong one ~ between weight and risk of dementia, but it's not the one you probably think it is. A British study of the medical records of almost 2 million people has found that the underweight run the highest risk of developing dementia. You read that right. And there's more. Researchers also found that the overweight had an 18 percent lower chance of developing it, while for those who were obese, that figure was 24 percent: http://www.bbc.com/news/health-32233571
