Rube would be impressed, Hugo and Isabelle would have been fascinated, and Georges Méliès would have been delighted. The rest of us are a conglomeration of all of the above. Inspired by the automaton in
Hugo, an Apple engineer built a programmable drawing and writing machine out of LEGOs ~ and that's not the only complex, amazing thing he's invented using the wonderfully ubiquitous colored bricks. "I’m trying to make machines as they might have rationally been
