Chez Jesus

A group of archaeologists think they may have found the house where Jesus grew up. The limestone and stone-and-mortar structure has actually been more or less in the public eye for centuries and was believed by many to be Jesus’s house, but it wasn’t until recently that it was determined that it actually dates back to the 1st century CE. The house is in Nazareth, Israel, long believed to be where Jesus lived. It survived the centuries because both the Byzantines, who occupied the area until the 7th century, and the Crusaders, who showed up in the 12th, took care to protect it, and then it lay hidden until it was discovered in the 1880s by the nuns of the Sisters of Nazareth convent: http://www.livescience.com/49997-jesus-house-possibly-found-nazareth.html
