Signing the Players

The tug on the cap, the tap on the left elbow and shoulder ~ they're the signs that baseball players look for and understand implicitly. If they're on the right team, that is. To players of the opposing team, they're elements of a code they'd love to break. It's an ingenious method of communication that has deep roots.
