Same Difference

So this is how it happens sometimes. I saw a promo for an article saying that an Islamic group damaged the shrines of Muslim saints in Timbuktu (actually an interesting story, in case you're interested: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-18657463 ). But aren't Islamists Muslims, thought I? I must be wrong, I thought. So I Googled "Islamist vs. Muslim" (one and the same, it turns out) and came upon a website that's all about spelling out the difference between terms/concepts that are often confused.
