One of the towns we stayed in when we went to France in September was called La Brigue. The day after we got there, a friend and I went exploring the wooded hillside behind our hotel and came upon this charming little abode (left). The sign says "Insect House. creation of a wild habitat with natural materials." Whether you own an acre or a postage-stamp-size balcony, you, too, can create a wildlife habitat ~ and you can register yours as a Certified Wildlife Habitat.
