Oxford University Press has released its Word of the Year ~ for the UK and the U.S. In Britain, it's
omnishambles, from
omni, meaning
all, and
shambles, meaning, well, shambles! The U.S. word is
gif ~ you know, an image on the Internet. The thing about gif is that it is now becoming a verb, too:
